Close to the center of downtown San Jose a group of unusual animals live in a private oasis. Their home is a small, peaceful zoo. This park features a variety of Asian, African, and Costa Rican animals and plants. It features a hands-on display for children and is like an urban rain forest, a maze of small paths twisting around the animal enclosures. You will find the zoo at Avenida 11, Calle 7 and entry is 1500 colones ($3).
